I can't believe that it's been 30 years since President Ronald Reagan delivered this address to Americans from the White House.
Now wasn't that better than "Hey . . . uh . . . . duh . . . Happy Holidays, I'm off to Hawaii."
Merry Christmas and let's all make next year a happy one by showing Barack and Michelle the door.

Nice find... and a great reminder of not only what was 30 years ago but what should be now. Can you imagine Obama making such a speech? Neither can I. I heard genuine sincerity in President Reagan's voice. A man strong enough in his faith that he wasn't ashamed either. I look forward to meeting him in heaven.
ReplyDeleteMy gifts from God are really looking forward to the best part of Christmas - giving. I took them out today to get their Mama's presents, and they did a good job of picking out cheap junk their Mama will love. Then they wrapped them all by themselves. I don't know how anyone could look at a child and still not believe in God.
ReplyDeleteThat was a good speech. Too bad cloning wasn't around back then.Totally agree with your last line. Show them the door alright, with a size 8 boot up the ample posterior.
ReplyDeleteRight,
ReplyDeleteDon't be in a hurry - we'll need your vote in November!

Clyde,
ReplyDeleteLet me do it - I have a size ten and a half.
HE was the first POTUS I ever voted for. He WAS the President of the US and we'll likely never see another like him. We've gone downhill since 1988.
