They’re BA-A-A-A-A-ACK

The trouble with “winning the Cold War” was that unlike a “hot” war, there weren’t enough dead communists after it was over.  Of course Liberals (Democrats, Socialists, Progressives, whatever) have always maintained that there weren’t any communists around anyway.  A friend sent this link from the recent unrest in Philadelphia:

Not long after that, another friend sent this video of Idaho State Representative Curtis Bowers speaking to the communist plan to “Grind down America:”

I didn’t buy that right away and went to look for myself.  The list that Bowers refers to can be found here:  "The Naked Communist"   I picked Wikipedia as it is a reliably liberal source and even they laid it out there in all its naked splendor.  This list of communist objectives was written in 1958.  Forty-five goals and I would say that they are doing pretty well.

When you start thinking about what is happening today with the United States Military, does that call to mind:  #26.  “Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

How about #15?  “Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.”  You guys won – you have one Party hook, line, and sinker.

I think you guys have #17 in the bag too: “Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.”

Does #19 explain the Wall Street demonstrations?  “Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.”

Hey Ann Coulter, here’s why you have written six straight New York Times number one best sellers but can’t get a book review in the New York Times?  #20 “Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policymaking positions.”

Hey – SEIU, we see you in #36:  “Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.”

Senator Joseph McCarthy was vilified for exposing communists.  I guess being a communist isn’t a big deal now if you can walk down Main Street USA flying their flag.

  1. Hey, Guy with the "Make Jobs Not War" sign:

Wars create jobs. Better than any other policy the government supports, wars create jobs. It is the only foolproof government way to create jobs.

  2. Amigo,
Good post. The reason communism is "out" now is because it has been advertised by academia as a good system since the mid 90's. The children, now adults, don't understand what communism truly is since they have never been taught. We lived through the time when communism was at its peak in the 70's.

Today that ugliness is never taught. WWII is barely on the ciriculum much less the Cold War. The teachers don't even know it.

Recently I had a conversation with a late 20 something women who has a Phd in politcal science. She is totally clueless about communism.

Beginning only as recently as last year I noticed a number of communist flags at the lefty rallies. The press made an overt effort not to highlight those banners. No one complained. Now they are common place at lefty rallies.

Ask anyone under 40 what communism is and you get the "doe in the headlights" look.

  3. Well heck, CS, they never left! haha The second video is great. My dear departed parents were talking about this for as long as I can remember as a kid. I was born in the early 50s and they were adamant about the desire of the communists to "bury the U.S.(us)" within one generation.

As for Mr. Bowers experience at the conference and being surprised at the older, professional folks at the meeting ... I too was shocked when I first started picketing against abortion-on-demand to find the number of people my folks' age who supported it. Wow. So much for the "greatest generation" -- what a joke.

Like TGP I picked up on the "Make jobs not war" sign. Guess hippies of the 60s just learned to recycle their signs. Pine cones.

Indeed, we are on the very edge of imploding for sure.

Great post here, CS. Thanx for making this available and your commentary is spot-on!!

  4. Tenth,

War isn't the optimal way to create jobs, but the Federal government at least has that in their job description. They tend to be better at that than say picking companies to generate power using alternative methods.

  5. H-Nox,

    All part of the plan:

#17. Get control of the schools.

#18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

#28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools . . . . .

#31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history . . . . .

  6. Mrs. AL,

It's amazing now to look back at how foolish we were in overlooking all this. The Communists found the perfect device for their plan, the Democrat Party. Socialist Party candidate Norman Thomas was quoted as saying:

“I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform.”

Truer words have never been spoken.

  8. -Sepp,

I'm sure that I am on a number of those lists. Thankfully our Founding Fathers ensured that I am provided the means to not go meekly into the night.
